Like numerous other music lovers, I’ve long enjoyed creating compilation tapes of songs I especially liked from multiple albums, by either single or various artists, as a interesting change of pace to the usual listening to a single pre-recorded album.

   For me, this practice began in the 1960’s with selecting and recording favorite songs from old 45’s and LP’s onto audio cassettes, some of which I still have. These were particular useful for listening in the car and with the Walkman and other portable devices on trips and outdoor excursions.

    With the advent of CD’s, the process has ultimately become a good deal easier; and now with PC’s and other digital devices, even more expeditious and flexible. The purpose of this web page is simply to identify just a few of the dozens of CD playlists I’ve enjoyed creating and listening to using iTunes/IPOD and thereby also generating CD’s to give to music loving friends and family members.
