The purpose of this web page is to identify those CD’s I’ve recently acquired that I’ve enjoyed sufficiently to recommend to others. I have been very appreciative since 2001 of those members of the SONGBIRDS web site who have posted similar lists and began doing the same myself beginning in 2002.

    In December 2006, at the request of web master Brian Patneaude, I joined other staff members in posting my favorite CD’s for the year at Albanyjazz staff’s 2006 Top Five. 

    Again in December 2007, at the request of web master Brian Patneaude, I joined other staff members in posting my favorite CD’s for the year at Albanyjazz staff’s 2007 Top Five. 

     I’ve listed below links to displays of the CD’s acquired so far in 2007 that I’ve most enjoyed. You will note that most of these recordings are NOT new releases, but rather albums from past years, many of which I enjoyed on LP or cassette and recently acquired on CD. As noted in the FAVORITES LISTS and INSTRUMENTALISTS web pages, these are simply my preferences, not some attempt to rank CD’s.
